New York Fashion week

This Sunday Tom Ford will be hosting his cocktail party ahead of his well awaited preview to his collection of womens wear, people from all around the world have been waiting for the tickets to this event and no doubt it could possibly get feisty in the heat to see his long awaited collection.

Top model Lou Doillon has confirmed that she will be modelling some of Tom's S/S collection.



Industry insiders and top editors along with a vast majority of the world will be travelling to New York to see the impeccable shows and it is also apparent that Alexander Wang is having their own fun fair at the show and the fantastically stunning Britney Spears will be performing for POP magazines party aswell.......

this is an image of the model i sourced. as you can see she is a very natural organic person who i thought can project the tank girl images across very well.

the army are defeated.... its the melt down.... the clothes have a good contrast against the brick wall.....

man down man down..... an adult reinactment and reminiscing of ones childhood.... i chose jadie to be my model because she has an organic tom boy look and i thought would look fantastic in the shoot.

i like this pose..... a pose of stature. a feisty dominant pose.

our photoshoot.... tank girl theme...

we came up with the idea once we got on location of havin a shot of one of the army toys really close up to the camera and having our model standing really far back. but that didnt work out because of how the sun was setting.

my props for the shoot....

these are the props i have sourced for my tank girl photoshoot. a pair of girly pink and white doc martins and a pair of brown builder type boots. a range of funky studded belts. 2 types of bikini tops to possibly wear. a pair of blue denim shorts and i bought a white top from primark and a tank girl logo was transferred on to it. ray ban aviators. a karki jacket. headphones.army hat. a toy tank, a toy rhino and toy soldiers. ski goggles. a tutu. a water gun and a hip flask. i think ive named everything i have sourced..... for our shoot we wanted to go for a childish theme and have those characteristics in out shoot..... like a grown up misbehaving child.... we scrapped the romantic idea..... to cleche i thought..... and i am happy with this idea and could be a better one.

i dont want the shoot as seedy as this i want it more of a current day comic slightly.... in a way 'taking the micky' as what a comic does....

i was thinking for the make up of the shoot and would be good for our model to have pale skin and very dark lipstick...

i like the idea of writing jokes on high fashion accessories..... an idea to consider for the shoot. possible an in joke or a writen joke...

jack pierson photography....

we discussed in class about photography in the north and jack pierson is an example of what the preconceptions of people up north are like.... its how we dress.... its our attitude.... when in fact its just a small minute part of it and been blown up in a big proportion to create a personality or the images....

vanessa beecroft exhibition

vanessa's imagery is a good example of mixing sexuality with glamour but in a uniformed way which draws you in with its beauty...

with a lot of Vanessa's imagery i found it rather uniformed which in a way im looking for a uniform for my tank girl and the idea of the shoot is about having an opinion of someone bye the way they dress but then is shocked by the attitude of the person dressed in that way.... role reversal....

location....

i did think of a location.... and not only does the place not have a website.... but is only going through a refurbishment.... it is the Lancashire museum. i used to go ther when i was a child and im pretty positive it has a large army tank build in the wall on the top floor.... gutted iv only just thought of this now.... would have been a fantastic shot location....


this is the tank at the museum, i remember it having green camouflage around it but as times go on, needs must and all that.... i jus thought it would be a great location shoot.... :)

*IDEA*

the idea of having sleek tank girl and a suited gentle men both in a toy car like they are going really fast down the motorway.... running away together as though they have robbed a bank....(with monopoly money)....

i can see both models in a getaway vehicle running off with money flying out of the cars.......:)

kids army props....

as much as we would like to use an army tank there is always the option of the kids toys idea.... kids army tank.... truck.... car....

i went for a wonder....

i went to the market today and had a look around but nothing really appealed for what i am looking for in the shoot. it is a girls dress up army suit which is the most suitable thing there but it is along similar lines....

we could have the roles reversed and have the tank girl dressed smart and have a chav possibly in the background.....

as suits offer the impression of a wealthy business man who is successful... in our shoot we are wanting to change that image....

i was thinking about a scene where there is a man in the suit behind bars and the tank girl acts as an angel as if to 'help' him.....

this is a chic modern young girls bedroom.... all of these images show the impression of innocence....
